Morgan added to women’s soccer coaching staff

BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C.— The Montreat women's soccer team has a new assistant coach, that according to an announcement from the program earlier this month. Beth Morgan joins the Cavaliers in a full-time coaching capacity and immediately begins her duties.
 
"I am thrilled to have Coach Beth join our staff," said head coach Kristin Eggert. "First and foremost, she loves Jesus and is here to see hearts transformed. Adding her quality coaching experience and playing background will be an invaluable addition to our staff."
 
Morgan comes to Montreat after spending the 2024 season as a video analyst with Palm Beach Atlantic University, an NCAA Division II institution.
 
Prior to working at PBA, the Anderson, S.C. native served from 2022 through 2024 as an assistant coach with the Mars Hill University women's soccer program. Morgan aided the Lions in making the league playoffs in 2023, which was the team's first South Athletic Conference (SAC) Tournament appearance in a decade.
 
While at MHU, Morgan coached the goalkeepers. Mars Hill's starting goalie received all-conference accolades under Morgan's tutelage. In total, Morgan coached three all-conference players across her two seasons with the Lions.
 
Also with experience at the high school level, Morgan coached both varsity and junior varsity girls' soccer at Belton-Honea Path High School in Honea Path, S.C.
 
"I am very excited to be joining the women's soccer coaching staff at Montreat," Morgan shared. "I'm grateful to Coach Eggert for the opportunity, and I look forward to contributing to the program's growth and continued success."
 
A four-year player with the Anderson University women's soccer program, Morgan also spent one year with the Greenville Liberty, a semi-professional soccer club in Greenville, S.C.
 
Morgan graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Math Education from Anderson University in 2020, as well as with a Master of Organizational Leadership in 2021.
