McAlister Fitness Center

Located on the bottom level of the McAlister Gymnasium, the McAlister Fitness Center was renovated in the summer of 2015, as well as the summer of 2026 following the damaging effects of Hurricane Helene. The fitness center now features expanded floor space, along with a completely revamped design of floors, windows and padding. The area also includes state-of-the-art workout equipment, ellipticals, free weights, stationery bikes, treadmills and motion trainers, serving as a significant upgrade in fitness for both athletics team training and student, staff and faculty. Additionally, the McAlister Fitness Center includes an indoor golf simulator for the men's and women's golf teams, as well as a padded practice room for the men's and women's wrestling teams.

 

Howard Fisher Memorial Field at Pulliam Stadium

Located on the college's Black Mountain Campus, Howard Fisher Memorial Field at Pulliam Stadium serves as the home facility for the men's and women's soccer teams, the men's and women's lacrosse squads and the men's and women's track & field programs. The field is named after former Montreat College men's soccer standout Howard Fisher. The 6-foot-7 Kingston, Jamaica native worked between the pipes for the Cavaliers from 2006-09 but passed away unexpectedly due to a rare blood disease that tragically cut his life short after his senior season. Fisher, a four-time all-conference selection, led the Cavs to their first "modern day" NAIA Men's Soccer Coaches' Poll ranking of No. 24 ('07) and to a program-best No. 15 ranking during his final season. Howard Fisher Memorial Field at Pulliam Stadium has been the host for numerous Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Tournaments and Championships over the years.

Located on the college's Black Mountain campus, Roxy Hines Memorial Softball Field is the home to Montreat College's softball team. While playing at Roxy Hines, the Cavaliers won the 2000 and 2001 AAC regular season titles. The Cavs also became tournament champions who went on to win the NAIA Regional Championship and advance to the NAIA National Tournament. 

In September of 2020, batting cages were added to the facility to further improve the stadium.

The Omni Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa - Asheville

One of four facilities that serve as home to the men's and women's golf teams, the Grove Park Inn Resort is a beautifully maintained 18-hole, championship layout located in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Just minutes from downtown Asheville, Grove Park plays to 6700 yards and offers challenging approach shots, beautiful views and undulating greens. The course was originally opened in 1896 as a 9-hole course, after which time legendary architect Donald Ross redesigned the existing nine holes and added nine more. The course underwent a $2.5 million restoration in the summer of 2001 and was voted "Best Restoration" by Golfweek Magazine in 2002. Other accolades include Top 100 Courses in N.C., as well as 2010 Top 15 U.S. Southern Golf Resorts.

   

Black Mountain Golf Club - Black Mountain

Located at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Black Mountain Golf Club is a beautifully maintained 18-hole layout. The front nine was designed by legendary architect Donald Ross, while the back nine boasts a challenging, 747-yard par 6, one of the longest holes in the world. Owned and operated by the town of Black Mountain, the course is located just minutes from campus and is available to our teams seven days a week.

     


       

Champions Learning Center - Hendersonville

Champions Golf offers a full service driving range, short game area, covered hitting bays, putting green and pro shop.

            

Silver Creek Plantation - Morganton

Located in Morganton, this 1995 Tom Jackson designed course offers breathtaking views of the surrounding South Mountains and nearby Lake James. The par 72 layout plays over 6700 yards and provides five sets of tees to challenge golfers of all skill levels. A state of the art practice facility is also available.

Cross Country Course

Located on Black Mountain campus, the picturesque course begins across Howard Fisher Memorial Field and winds through the college's 89-acre property, passing In-the-Oaks, a 24,400-square-foot home built in 1920 that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Originally the summer home of electrical industrialist F.S. Terry, In-the-Oaks now houses classrooms, a computer lab, outdoor education and athletic offices. 

Biltmore Sporting Clays Club

The Biltmore Sporting Clays Club, located on the esteemed Biltmore Estate property in Asheville, N.C., serves as the practice and competition facility for clay target shooting team members. The facility, which closes the range to the public on competition days, features 8,000 acres of area for visitors to explore, as well as a 5-stand range and sporting clays course.
