Women’s lacrosse reveals 2026 schedule for upcoming season

BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C.— The Montreat College women's lacrosse team is expected to play one scrimmage and 14 regular season games, that according to an announcement from the program earlier this month. Of the Cavaliers' 14 official contests, eight are slated to take place at Pulliam Stadium in Black Mountain, N.C.

After a scrimmage at Mars Hill University on Jan. 31, the Cavs kick off their regular season just six days later. On Feb. 6, Montreat travels south to Savannah, Ga. for its first of eight consecutive nonconference matchups. This year's season opener features a battle against the Bees of SCAD Savannah.

All eight of the Cavaliers' home contests occur during a 10-game stretch immediately following the season opener. Pfeiffer University and Warren Wilson College come to Pulliam Stadium on Feb. 11 and Feb. 18, respectively, before the Cavs play their lone true road game of the span on Feb. 20 at Brevard College. Montreat's only other clash away from home between Feb. 11 and March 27 is set to be a neutral-site battle versus Missouri Valley College.

The Cavaliers' final six games of the regular season feature Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) action. Truett McConnell University signals the start of league play on March 14. Montreat follows that contest with its final two home dates—March 21 and March 27 against Georgetown College and Reinhardt University, respectively.

Making its inaugural season debut, Columbia College marks the beginning of three straight road bouts to conclude the Cavs' regular season. After squaring off versus the Koalas on April 1, the Cavaliers travel to Williamsburg, Ky. for a date with the reigning AAC champions. Montreat then concludes the 2026 regular season campaign on April 15 at Tennessee Wesleyan University.

With some impressive displays during league action, the Cavaliers hope to be one of the six squads that qualify for this year's AAC Tournament. Currently, the conference's annual postseason event is slated for April 30 through May 2.
