GREENWOOD, Ind.— According to a release from the College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday, six Montreat College student-athletes appeared on this year's Academic All-District® Women's At-Large Team. Women's lacrosse led the way with three honorees, while women's golf and women's wrestling secured two and one, respectively.
Mallory Franklin,
Ruthann Stout and
Grace Wiegand represented the Cavaliers this go-around.
Reese Coltrane and
Hannah Stewart touted the award for women's golf, and
Nicole Lewis did the same for women's wrestling. In total, 232 student-athletes garnered the annual CSC accolade.
To qualify for nomination, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore both athletically and academically while maintaining at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA. A lacrosse student-athlete must also have competed in 90.0 percent of her institution's games played or have started in at least 66.0 percent of those contests. Meanwhile, a golf or wrestling student-athlete must also have been in the lineup for at least 70.0 percent of her team's scoring events or have competed in her conference championship event.

The Montreat women's lacrosse team wrapped up its 2025 campaign with a 0-13 record overall and a 0-5 record in Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) contests. Women's wrestling went 7-6 overall and 4-4 against Mid-South Conference (MSC) foes during its 2024-25 season. Meanwhile, women's golf placed eighth at the AAC Direct Qualifier to cap off its 2024-25 showing.
