GREENWOOD, Ind. — According to a release from the College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday, one Montreat College student-athlete maneuvered her way onto the organization's annual Academic All-District® Women's Tennis Team. Thanks to her work on the court and in the classroom,
Clara Roman represented the Cavaliers as a CSC honoree.
Overall, 90 NAIA student-athletes captured CSC Academic All-District® Women's Tennis Team status for the 2025-26 academic year.
To qualify for nomination, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore both academically and athletically, have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA and have been in the lineup for at least 75.0 percent of an institution's days of competition, excluding regional and non-team scored events.

The Montreat College women's tennis team went 5-14 overall and 3-5 in Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) matches during the 2026 season. As a result, the Cavs entered the AAC Tournament as the No. 6 seed. Ultimately, the Cavaliers exited the league's postseason bracket in the quarterfinal round.
