GILBERT, Ariz.— The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its updated NAIA Women's Singles Rankings on Thursday, and
Chiharu Ito appeared inside the organization's top 50 for the fifth consecutive poll. According to the latest edition of the rankings, Ito moved seven spots to No. 45 overall.
During the regular season, Ito went 10-5 in singles play. The freshman owned an 8-3 record on the No. 1 court and a 2-2 record when competing on the second court. Of Ito's 10 victories, seven came during Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) matches. Her other three triumphs occurred against NCAA Division I and II opposition.
A pair of Ito's singles contests never reached their conclusion, including her AAC Tournament first round clash versus Milligan University. Ito led 6-0, 2-4 on the top court when the Buffaloes secured the team win, leaving her match unfinished.

Ito and the Montreat women's tennis team ended their 2025 season with a 4-13 record overall and a 4-5 record in AAC action.
