LOUISVILLE, Ky.— The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced its 2024-25 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors last week, and according to the organization's release, 20 Montreat College softball players landed among those being recognized.
In total, 1,010 NAIA student-athletes captured the annual award.

Kylee Schendel,
Whitney Tannehill,
Kara Thomas,
Carter Thornton and
Deanna Waddell garnered the All-America Scholar-Athlete status for the Cavaliers.
Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes are submitted annually by member head coaches. To be eligible for submission, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.5 GPA during the given academic year.
