GILBERT, Ariz.— For the fourth consecutive instance, Montreat College's Chiharu Ito landed inside the top 50 of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) NAIA Women's Singles Rankings. According to a release from the organization, Ito climbed five spots to No. 38 overall.
 
Ito owned a 10-5 record in singles action during the regular season. The Shizuoka, Japan native went 8-3 on the first court and 2-2 at No. 2. Seven of Ito's 10 triumphs came against Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) foes, while the other three victories occurred versus NCAA Division I and Division II opposition.
 
In the Cavaliers' AAC Tournament first round matchup, Ito maintained a 6-0, 2-4 lead in the top bout when Milligan University secured the team victory. As a result, Ito's match ended unfinished for the second time this year.

Ito and the Montreat women's tennis team concluded their 2025 campaign with a 4-13 record overall and a 4-5 record in AAC play.
