WALESKA, Ga. — The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) unveiled its 2026 men's and women's tennis awards on Monday afternoon, and according to the league office's release, the Montreat College men's and women's tennis teams scooped up a handful of academic and character awards.
On the men's side,
Nick Abramov,
Fabrizio Moreno and
Ben Smith captured AAC All-Academic Team status.
Catalina Pan and
Clara Roman did the same on the women's side. Meanwhile,
Joaquin Hernandez and
Ana Marija Horvacki secured spots on their respective AAC Champions of Character Teams.
To qualify for the AAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher. Each institution in the league also received one spot on the AAC Champions of Character Team, and the honorees were selected by each program's head coach.

The Montreat College men's tennis team closed out the regular season with a 7-12 (3-4 AAC) record and finished fifth in the league standings. The Montreat College women's tennis team concluded the regular season at 5-13 (3-5 AAC), good for sixth in the conference standings.
