Jasmine Rachal took home the latest Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Softball Player of the Week honors. According to an announcement from the league office on Monday afternoon, Rachal captured the Montreat College softball program's second conference award in the span of a month.
Rachal's bat helped power a 4-0 week in which the Cavaliers outscored their opposition, 46-12. The senior from North Port, Fla. slashed .615/.688/.769 across the four contests, totaling eight hits, seven runs, 10 RBIs and three walks. Two of Rachal's hits went for extra bases. In each game, Rachal notched at least one run and one RBI while reaching safely at least twice.
A 4-for-4 performance with five RBIs and three runs scored opened Rachal's senior day weekend. One of four seniors honored between games against Carolina, Rachal accumulated another hit, another RBI, two more runs and a walk to close out Saturday.

Rachal and the Montreat College softball team finish up their 2026 home slate tomorrow afternoon when they host the University of Pikeville Bears for an AAC doubleheader. First pitch of the twin bill is slated for 3 p.m. at Roxy Hines Softball Field in Black Mountain, N.C.
