GREENWOOD, Ind. — The College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Softball Team was announced on Tuesday, with three Montreat College student-athletes receiving the honor for their success both academically and athletically.
For their outstanding achievements both on the diamond and in the classroom,
Lauryn Bishop,
Hannah Henderson and
Abigail Wyatt earned the prestigious annual recognition. In total, 267 NAIA softball student-athletes across the nation captured the accolade.
To qualify for nomination, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore both athletically and academically and maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA. Position players also must have competed in at least 90 percent of an institution's games or started in at least 66 percent of a program's contests. Pitchers, meanwhile, must have made a minimum of 17 appearances or have thrown at least 35 innings.

The Montreat College softball team wrapped up its 2026 campaign with a 20-24 (8-18 Appalachian Athletic Conference) record.
