CENTRAL, S.C. — The Montreat College men's track & field team sent three athletes south on Saturday to compete in the Gotta Run Invite, hosted by Southern Wesleyan University. The Cavaliers participated in two events on the day, with competitors taking part in both the 200m dash and the high jump.

In the 200m, Cameron Rice led the way for the Cavaliers with a top-10 performance, placing seventh out of 33 competitors. Rice clocked a time of 22.23 seconds in heat one to secure the result. David Irabor also represented Montreat in the event, finishing 15th overall after crossing the line in 22.94 seconds.

Drew Bryant was the other Cav in action on Saturday, competing in the high jump. The Candler, N.C., native secured a ninth-place finish after clearing a height of 1.75m.

Montreat returns to action March 20–21 as the Cavaliers host the Montreat College Open at Pulliam Stadium in Black Mountain, N.C.
