Women’s wrestling receiving votes in seventh consecutive ratings

KANSAS CITY, Mo.— According to a release from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), the Montreat College women's wrestling team is receiving votes nationally for the seventh consecutive ratings. The Cavaliers picked up eight voting points in the latest edition of the NAIA Women's Wrestling Coaches' Top 20, and Morgan Repasky maintained her top-20 recognition in the 103-lb weight class.

The Cavs' eight points landed three shy of Westcliff (Calif.) but one ahead of York (Neb.). In total, Montreat tallied the 32nd-most points among NAIA women's wrestling programs.

Since the previous ratings were unveiled on Jan. 15, the Cavaliers have competed just once as a squad. Wrestling at the Tornado Open in Bristol, Tenn. on Jan. 18, Montreat secured six placements and a pair of runner-up finishes during the event. Repasky captured the most wins of any Cav participating by going 4-1, and she delivered one of those two second-place efforts at 103.

A native of Marion, N.C., Repasky is 20-9 on the year and owns the third-most victories among her teammates. Her .690 winning percentage is best among Cavaliers who have wrestled in at least 15 bouts. Nationally, Repasky garnered 25 voting points to appear at No. 14 in the 103-lb weight class rankings.
