Cavs still receiving votes in final poll of 2025-26 season

KANSAS CITY, Mo.— The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) shared its final NAIA Women's Wrestling Coaches' Top 20 Rating of the 2025-26 season on Wednesday, and for the eighth straight instance, the Montreat College Cavaliers are receiving votes. Overall, the Cavs tallied 15 voting points, and two individuals appeared in their respective weight class rankings.

Montreat's 15 points were even with William Woods (Mo.), as well as two better than Friends (Kan.) and Bismark State (N.D.) and two worse than Waldorf (Iowa). In total, the Cavaliers tied for the 27th-most voting points in the nation.

Since the previous ratings release on Feb. 5, the Cavs have competed just once overall. On that same date, Montreat hosted its first dual inside McAlister Gymnasium. The Cavaliers made quick work of Brewton-Parker Christian University, defeating the Barons by a 38-12 scoreline. The senior night triumph marked the squad's second win over BPCU on the campaign.

Morgan Repasky received a forfeit victory against Brewton-Parker Christian, improving her season-long record to 21-9 overall. The sophomore's .700 winning percentage is best among Cavs who have wrestled in at least 15 bouts. Repasky also ranks third on the team in wins. Overall, the Marion, N.C. native picked up 26 voting points to land at No. 14 in the 103-lb weight class rankings.

Daniela Espinal surged into the 124-lb weight class rankings after her record-tying triumph versus the Barons. The freshman's pin of her opposition in 1:34 brought her season-long record to 25-13 overall. Espinal's 25 wins tied Trinity Howard for the most victories in a single season in program history. The Brooksville, Fla. native moved from unranked to No. 15 nationally thanks to her 19 voting points.
