GREENWOOD, Ind.— Five Montreat baseball student-athletes captured College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team recognition according to a release from the CSC early Tuesday afternoon.
Justin Austin,
Dawson Bryant,
Merritt Evans,
Manny Moore, and
Blake Watts represented the Cavaliers among the 204 NAIA honorees.
To qualify for nomination, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore both athletically and academically and have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA. Position players must also have competed in either 90 percent of an institution's games played or started in at least 66 percent of a program's contests. Meanwhile, pitchers must also have made a minimum of 17 appearances or thrown at least 35 innings during the season.

Austin was also picked as a CSC Academic All-America® finalist. He will advance to the national ballot, which is to be voted on by CSC members. Academic All-America® winners will be announced on July 1.
The Montreat baseball team concluded its 2025 season with a 21-32 (11-19 Appalachian Athletic Conference) record.
