GREENWOOD, Ind. — College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced its Academic All-District® Baseball Team on Tuesday, with three Montreat College student-athletes earning recognition for their achievements in the classroom and on the diamond.

Cameron Nagel represented the Cavaliers among the 204 NAIA honorees.
To qualify for nomination, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore both athletically and academically and have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA. Position players must also have competed in either 90 percent of an institution's games played or started in at least 66 percent of a program's contests. Meanwhile, pitchers must also have made a minimum of 17 appearances or have thrown at least 35 innings during the season.

The Montreat College baseball team concluded its 2026 campaign with a 34-21 overall record and a 14-13 mark in Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) play, marking its most wins in a single season during the tenure of Head Coach
Jason Beck. Ultimately, the Cavs' postseason run came to an end in the AAC Tournament Semifinals.
