MONTREAT, N.C.— The Montreat baseball team announced its schedule for the upcoming regular season earlier this month. Coming off a 29-25-1 (15-14 Appalachian Athletic Conference) year in which the squad was one game away from the AAC Championship, as well as a trip to the national tournament, the Cavaliers hope to build on that momentum across their expected 2025 slate.
 
For the second straight year, Montreat begins the regular season with a trip to Miami Gardens, Fla. After playing a three-game set at St. Thomas University on Jan. 24-25, the Cavs remain on the road one week later for a nonconference series at St. Andrews University. The Cavaliers wrap up the early portion of their out-of-conference schedule with four contests at the University of Mobile.
 
Opening its home and AAC slates on Feb. 14, Montreat welcomes reigning national runner-up and top-ranked Tennessee Wesleyan University to town. That series starts a stretch in which the Cavs host eight of 11 games at Newell Field or Big League Camp.
 
Following a trio of matchups at Bluefield University on March 7 and 8, the Cavaliers enter a busy spring break portion of their schedule. Montreat currently plans to play four nonconference games against three different teams in Mocksville, N.C. and at home.
 
Conference action resumes on March 21 when the Cavs head to Knoxville, Tenn. for a showdown versus the Johnson University Royals. Meanwhile, Montreat concludes March and starts April with a pair of home AAC series against the University of Pikeville Bears and Columbia International University Rams.
 
Two of the Cavaliers' final three conference sets happen outside the state of North Carolina. The Cavs do host their final AAC showdown, however, when they square off versus Bryan College on April 25 and 26.
 
Montreat plans to piece together strong performances during league play and qualify for the AAC Tournament, which is expected to be played from April 29 through May 3 at Hunter Wright Stadium in Kingsport, Tenn.
