MARIETTA, Ga.— The Montreat wrestling team rounded out its trip to Marietta, Ga. with Eagle Madness hosted by Life University on Saturday. Four wrestlers saw action across two weight classes as the Cavaliers picked up one individual win on the day.
 
Hannah Wecer started her bracket at 136 with a victory by pin over her opponent from University of the Cumberlands in just 1:34 to advance to the round of 16. She avoided a fall in that match, but was unable to overcome her opposition and dropped a 10-0 tech fall result.
 
Wecer was then knocked out of the consolation bracket via pin. Charlotte Wheeler and Michaiah Allen wrestled in the 130-lb bracket, while Marissa Delacruz joined Wecer at 136; however, no other wrestler could avoid losses by fall in their two bouts.
