MONTREAT, N.C.— The Montreat men's tennis team picked up a victory at home over the Milligan University Buffaloes Wednesday afternoon as the Cavaliers swept the visitors 7-0. With the victory, Montreat improved to 8-7 (5-1 AAC) on the year.
 
The Cavs made light work of the Buffaloes, collecting the doubles point with three victories. Adam Nagoudi and Taketoshi Nanao claimed a 6-2 win at No. 1 as did the pairing of Denilson Martinez and Marcos Castares at No. 3. Anouar Braham and Ryan Little needed only two additional games to fend off their opposition in the No. 2 slot as the team went up 1-0.
 
Montreat continued its impressive results in singles competition, sweeping all six matchups to complete its dominant effort. In the first three spots, Nagoudi, Martinez and Braham disposed of their foes in straight sets, while Moretti, Castares and Little each won pro-style matches to close out the day once the contest was in hand.
 
No Cavalier lost more than three games in a single set, led by Braham, who only dropped three in his entire match in the third position (6-1, 6-2). Martinez notched a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 2 and Nagoudi won 6-3, 6-2 in the top position.
 
Castares (8-1) led those who played pro-style matches by only surrendering one game to his opponent, and Moretti and Little each registered 8-3 wins at No. 4 and No. 6, respectively.
 
Men's tennis returns to action for its final road match of the season, a contest against No. 9 Lindsey Wilson College on Thursday at 2:00 p.m.
