MONTREAT, N.C. — The Montreat College women's basketball team shared its 2026-27 schedule earlier last month, a slate featuring 27 regular-season matchups, 20 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) contests, 14 home games and three exhibitions against NCAA Division I programs.

The Cavaliers begin the season with a pair of matchups at the Kentucky Bluegrass Classic on Oct. 23-24, hosted by Brescia University, in advance of traveling to Winston-Salem, N.C. to face Carolina University on the 29th.

Montreat opens its home slate on Nov. 2 when it welcomes Voorhees University to McAlister Gymnasium. The matchup kicks off a stretch of three contests in five days, including an exhibition against Appalachian State University before the Cavs return home on Nov. 6 to host Bob Jones University.

The Cavaliers begin AAC play on Nov. 11 against Union Commonwealth University, part of a three-game homestand that concludes a week later with Columbia International University visiting town. Montreat closes out November on the road against the University of Pikeville and UNC Greensboro.

Montreat resumes league play in December, starting on the 2nd against Tennessee Wesleyan University and continuing on the 5th versus Bluefield University inside McAlister Gymnasium. After a pair of clashes in Tennessee, the Cavs return home on Dec. 14 to host Georgia Southern East before wrapping up their exhibition slate on Dec. 19 at UNC Asheville ahead of the Christmas break.

An action-packed January features nine contests for the Cavaliers, including four inside McAlister Gymnasium. Montreat opens the month with three road games out of its first four contests. The lone home game during the away stretch falls on Jan. 6 against Brenau University. The Cavaliers then have 10 days between home contests ahead of welcoming Reinhardt University to McAlister Gymnasium on Jan. 16.

Montreat hosts Columbia College and the reigning AAC regular-season and tournament champion, Milligan University, on Jan. 23 and 27, respectively, before closing the month on the road against Truett McConnell University. The Cavaliers open February with their final nonconference contest, hosting Carolina on Feb. 3, and then close the regular season with four consecutive AAC matchups. Montreat travels to Tennessee Wesleyan and Bluefield on Feb. 10 and 13 prior to concluding the regular season at home against Bryan College and the University of Pikeville on Feb. 17 and 20.

With a good showing during the conference campaign, Montreat looks to be among the 10 teams competing at the 2027 AAC Tournament. This year's league tournament is scheduled for Feb. 24-27 at the Marriott Meadowview Conference Resort & Convention Center in Kingsport, Tenn.
