GREENWOOD, Ind. — For the second consecutive year, Ryan Stade garnered a spot on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America® Men's Track & Field/Cross Country Second Team. According to a release from the organization on Tuesday, Stade's nod marked the 13^th such honor in Montreat College history.
 
A superb long-distance runner, Stade captured at least one NAIA All-American honor during each season of competition last year. In the fall, the Marysville, Kan. native followed up his Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) men's cross country title with a 19^th-place finish and All-American recognition at the national championship meet. During the winter, Stade picked up three conference championships and two All-American accolades to go along with his 3000m indoor national title. The upperclassman's crown stands as one of three NAIA indoor event wins in program history. Lastly, Stade capped off the 2025-26 academic year with two more AAC titles and an outdoor All-American showing in the 10k.
 
Equally as accomplished in the classroom, Stade delivered a 3.9 cumulative GPA as a business administration major.
 
In total, 20 NAIA student-athletes landed CSC Academic All-America® Men's Track & Field/Cross Country Team status. Ten of those 20 student-athletes appeared on the Second Team.
 
To be eligible for nomination, a student-athlete had to be at least a sophomore athletically and academically while maintaining at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA. Student-athletes also had to rank inside the top 25 of a conference's individual event. Select honorees advanced to the Academic All-America® ballot, which was then voted on by CSC members from across the NAIA.
