KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) observed its annual National Awards Day on Tuesday, and during the celebration, the organization revealed its 2025-26 NAIA Scholar Teams. According to the release, 17 Montreat College athletics squads met the necessary academic standards to be included among the recognized programs.

To qualify for NAIA Scholar Team distinction, an athletic program must be affiliated with the NAIA and maintain a minimum team GPA of 3.0 during a given academic year. Women's soccer led all Cavalier squads with a department-high 3.75 GPA in 2025-26. Meanwhile, men's cross country led Montreat's male athletic teams with a 3.43 GPA.
