KANSAS CITY, Mo.— The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) unveiled its NAIA Scholar-Athletes for the 2025-26 winter sports calendar on Tuesday. According to the national release, 14 Montreat College student-athletes across four programs captured the annual academic status.
 
Men's basketball and men's wrestling led the way among winter Cavalier athletic programs with four Scholar-Athletes apiece. Meanwhile, women's basketball and women's wrestling each notched three Scholar-Athlete nods.
 
To be eligible for nomination as an NAIA Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. Additionally, a student-athlete must appear on the eligibility certificate of his or her sport and have attended his or her current institution for at least one full calendar year.
