Hall elevated to Associate Athletic Director of Sports Medicine

MONTREAT, N.C.— Former Montreat College student-athlete and current athletic staff member Ben Hall has a new title. According to an announcement from the Montreat College Athletic Department, Hall continues to serve Montreat College and its student-athletes as the Associate Athletic Director of Sports Medicine.

"Ben has been instrumental in shaping a culture within our sports medicine department that prioritizes holistic care for our student-athletes," said Garrett Jones, Director of Athletics at Montreat College. "His work ethic and professionalism in serving and supporting our student-athletes are incredibly humbling to witness, and I'm grateful for his commitment to leading his department with excellence. Ben is a tremendous addition to our athletic leadership team, and his insight is vital as we continue to shape athletics at Montreat College."

In addition to his duties with the sports medicine department, which he began in July of 2023, Hall has also spent the past several months as a valued member of the athletic department's leadership team. Hall officially took on the title of Associate Athletic Director of Sports Medicine in October of 2025. The 2025-26 academic year marks his third year with the Cavaliers in a professional capacity.

"It's a privilege to serve here at Montreat and to partner alongside the faculty and staff in the common mission of the college," Hall shared. "I look forward to continuing to pursue Christ-centered excellence as an athletic department."

Hall made his journey back to Western North Carolina following years as a staff physical therapist at Benchmark PT in Dawsonville, Ga. Prior to his time at Benchmark PT, Hall spent four years as the head coach of the Emmanuel University cross country and track & field teams. From 2013 to 2017, the Lions secured multiple NAIA and NCCAA All-American honors, while also claiming the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Men's Cross Country Championship in 2013 and the SSAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championship in 2014. The men's cross country team went on to place third at the 2013 NAIA Men's Cross Country Championship and was inducted into the Emmanuel University Athletics Hall of Fame in 2025.

Before his coaching career, Hall attended Montreat College where he was an athlete on the cross country and track & field teams from 2007 to 2011. He graduated with his bachelor's degree in biology in 2011 and earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of North Georgia in 2021.

Hall currently lives in the area with his wife, Libby, and their children.
