KANSAS CITY, Mo.— The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) observed its annual National Awards Day on Monday, and as part of the celebration, the organization revealed its 2024-25 NAIA Scholar Teams. According to the announcement, fourteen Montreat College athletic squads met the necessary academic standards to be included among the recognized programs.
 
To qualify for NAIA Scholar Team distinction, an athletic program must be affiliated with the NAIA and maintain a minimum team GPA of 3.00 during a given academic year. Women's cross country led all Cavalier squads with a department-high 3.82 GPA in 2024-25. Meanwhile, men's cross country led Montreat's male athletic teams with a 3.49 GPA.
