WALESKA, Ga.— Jarden Maze is the latest WinWon Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week, that according to a release from the league office Monday afternoon. This marks the first such honor for Maze, as well as the second of the season for the Cavaliers.
 
Playing in just one contest last week, Maze made the most of his time on the court. The Sandersville, Ga. native poured in a career-high 37 points in a 103-97 overtime victory at St. Andrews University. Maze shot 50.0 percent from the field (10-20 FG) and went 16-of-21 at the free-throw line (76.2 percent). The senior also snagged nine rebounds, dished out two assists and notched two steals.

Maze and the Montreat men's basketball team begin postseason play on Thursday with the quarterfinal round of the WinWon AAC Men's Basketball Tournament. Slotting in as the No. 6 seed, the Cavs will take on third-seeded Columbia International University at 9:15 p.m. in Kingsport, Tenn.
