KANSAS CITY, Mo.— According to a release from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) on Thursday, the Montreat College women's wrestling team is receiving votes for a fourth consecutive edition of the NAIA Women's Wrestling Coaches' Top 20. The Cavaliers also set a program record with four nationally-ranked individuals among their respective weight classes.
In the latest ratings, Montreat matched both its best position (24
th) and most points received (23) in program history. The Cavs were level on points with Midland (Neb.) and sat just four points back of Eastern Oregon during the voting process.
Since the previous poll was released on Nov. 20, the Cavaliers have competed on numerous occasions. In addition to the Missouri Valley Open (Nov. 21-22), Montreat also went head-to-head with the University of Mount Olive (Dec. 3) before taking on eight squads at the Patriot Duals (Dec. 5-6). The Cavs went 4-5 across their nine duals, and they capped off their best start to a season in program history (9-0). Already with its most team dual wins in a single season, Montreat currently sits at 11-5 overall.
Morgan Repasky landed at No. 13 in the 103-lb weight class rankings, tops among the four Cavaliers garnering individual recognition. The sophomore from Marion, N.C. is 16-8 on the year and is coming off a win against the NAIA's then No. 9-ranked wrestler at the Patriot Duals. Tallying 28 points in the voting process, this marks Repasky's third appearance in the national ratings in 2025-26.
Ranked at 110 for the fourth time this season, newcomer
Dinayah Vazquez shifted to No. 15 overall. With a 7-1 record on the year, Vazquez totaled 23 points in her respective weight class. Most recently, the Toms River, N.J. native went 5-1 between the Patriot Duals and Montreat's team dual clash versus Mount Olive.
Senior
