Way garners second AAC honor of career

WALESKA, Ga.— The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) announced its Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week Monday afternoon, and according to the release, Montreat College student-athlete Ronald Way picked up his second nod of the year. Claiming the honor back on Sept. 15, Way added another accolade thanks to his effort last Saturday at the Louisville Cross Country Classic.

Competing at one of the largest cross country meets in the nation, Way led the Cavaliers to a 28th-place team finish in the men's 8k gold race. Of the 32 programs who scored, 22 currently hold NCAA Division I status.

Individually, Way needed 25:12.9 to conclude his effort. The San Diego native ended 86th out of the 326 runners who crossed the finish line, and he was the fourth-faster NAIA competitor at the meet.
