KANSAS CITY, Mo.— While the Montreat College women's cross country team hasn't competed in nearly three weeks, the Cavaliers remain firmly entrenched inside the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Women's Cross Country Coaches' Top 25. Rated for the 34
th consecutive time, the Cavs moved one spot to No. 13 according to the national office's release.
Montreat racked up 267 points in the voting process, 19 better than No. 14 Saint Mary (Kan.) but eight back of 12
th-rated Grace (Ind.).
Off since the previous ratings announcement on Sept. 25, the Cavaliers most recently picked up a ninth-place finish out of 20 squads at the Queen City Invite. Running back on Sept. 12 at Queens University of Charlotte's annual evening meet,
Heather Murphy broke her own school record 5k time. The Portarlington, Ireland native's 17:15.79 performance garnered sixth place individually out of 228 participants, along with a trio of additional honors: Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week, NAIA Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week and United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NAIA Women's Athlete of the Week.

Montreat travels to Louisville, Ky. this weekend for its only Saturday meet of the season. The Cavs will square off against a multitude of programs at 11 a.m. at the Louisville Cross Country Classic, one of the largest meets in the country.
