ADAIRSVILLE, Ga.— In the final tournament of the fall, the Montreat men's golf team competed against a plethora of conference foes at the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Fall Championships. When all scores were recorded, the Cavs notched a 14^th-place result as a team.
 
The first day of action saw the Cavaliers in 14^th following a 328 first round and 331 second-round score. Tanner Reynolds recorded the lowest round by a Cav throughout the tournament with a 74 in his second round to climb up the leaderboard and captain the team through 36 holes. Reynolds sat tied for 23^rd with 18 holes to play.
 
Hayden Zitzewitz and Cole Wiley followed Reynolds, both at +20 through two rounds. Zitzewitz collected an 83 and 81, while Wiley shot a 75 in the first round and 89 in the second.
 
Ryan Poblacion registered a first-round 90 before improving three strokes on the second 18. David Roberts rounded out the competing Cavaliers with a 98 and 91, respectively.
 
On Tuesday, the Cavs utilized a better performance on the course to shave 10 strokes off their team score. Recording a 321, Montreat held steady in the standings.
 
Reynolds ended the tournament with another 80 to conclude as the team's top finisher, tied for 31^st place overall. Zitzewitz cut five strokes off his second round, registering a 76, while Wiley finished his third round in 82 strokes. Poblacion tallied an 83 on his last round, and Roberts added a 98 on Tuesday.
 
Three members of the Montreat golf team also participated in the tournament as individuals. Ben Coggins led those players through 36 holes, notching an 87 and 81 on the opening day. Coggins added an 86 to finish tied for 71^st. Sean League used a seven-stroke improvement to shoot an 82 in the second round, while Will Hardwick took three less shots on his second 18 (87). League recorded a final-round 85 and Hardwick carded an 89 on the last 18.
