Early in August of 2024, the Montreat College women's basketball team announced the addition of Shanteal Davis as an assistant coach to its full-time staff. She completed her first season with the program in 2024-25.

Davis joined the Cavaliers following two-and-a-half years coaching her own Christian AAU basketball program, Team Unlimited. The squad was part of Unlimited Youth, a Christian non-profit that strives to empower youth through Christ, education and basketball. Davis also spent the 2023-24 academic year as an assistant coach at Providence Academy in Johnson City, Tenn., as well as a Team CP3 coach in 2023.

In addition to coaching teams, Davis spent nearly the past five years coaching and training individuals with her limited liability company (LLC), Unlimited Edition Training.

A native of Belton, S.C., Davis secured her master's degree in 2023 in the field of sports management. She attended Milligan University from 2017-21 where she received her bachelor's degree studying marketing and exercise science. Davis also played on the Buffaloes women's basketball team during her four years at Milligan.
