Montreat College

Heather Maston was named the Head Softball Coach at Montreat College in 2013. She coached her 11th season in the 2022-23 school year. During her time at the helm of the program, Maston has seen many of her players receive academic and all-conference awards.
 
Recently, Maston has seen her teams boast a 3.2 cumulative GPA.
 
In May of 2020, Vice President of Athletics and Enrollment Jose Larios named Maston an Associate Athletic Director. Maston also serves as the Champions of Character Liaison and on the Student Athlete Advisory Council.
 
During the shortened 2020 campaign, junior Madison Faulkner was nominated for the Leroy Walker Character Award. The award recognizes a current student-athlete with at least a junior academic status who has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, campus and community leadership embracing the five core character values of the NAIA Champions of Character initiative, athletic achievement and future ambition.
 
Maston served as an assistant coach at Montreat College in 2013. Prior to Montreat College, Maston was a graduate assistant at University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky.
 
Maston began her coaching career at the high school level after graduating from University of the Cumberlands with a Bachelor of Arts in Middle School Math & K-12 Special Education. She was also a member of the UC Patriots softball team from 1998-2003.
 
Maston and her husband, Andrew, reside in Fletcher, N.C. with their dog, Hercules.
