WALESKA, Ga. — According to a release from the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) office late Thursday afternoon, a total of five Montreat College men's lacrosse players claimed academic and character recognition for their impressive work in the classroom.
Carson Bowser,
Joshua Kalec,
Brady Lambert,
Gavin Mottram and
Garrett Thomson each landed a spot on the AAC All-Academic Team. Lambert also appeared on the AAC Champions of Character Team.
To qualify for the AAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher. Each institution in the league also received one spot on the AAC Champions of Character Team, and the honorees were selected by each program's head coach.

The Montreat College men's lacrosse team finished its 2026 regular season with a 6-10 (2-7 AAC) record, ninth-best in the league standings. The six wins matched the squad's most in a single season in program history.
