NEW ORLEANS— The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) revealed its 2025 NAIA Men's and Women's Cross Country All-Academic Athletes and All-Academic Teams on Thursday. While the Cavaliers secured a handful of individual awards on each side, both cross country squads captured the annual team recognition as well.
Six Montreat College women's cross country runners garnered USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete status this past season:
Anna Baugh,
Carlyn Bobo,
Elena Fibraio,
Heather Murphy,
Macy Parks and
Ragan Speer. Meanwhile, five Montreat College men's cross country runners claimed USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete honors:
Elijah Eppley,
Brock Lauer,
Hugo Petat-Hemono,
Philip Riddle and
Ryan Stade.
To qualify for All-Academic Athlete distinction, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and qualify for the national championship meet.
Additionally, the Montreat College men's and women's cross country teams picked up USTFCCCA All-Academic Team status during the 2025 season. On the women's side, the Cavs rocked a 3.6 GPA. The Cavalier men also took care of business in the classroom, achieving a 3.47 GPA.
For All-Academic Team recognition, squads must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers.

Montreat College's men's and women's cross country teams notched similar finishes at the 2025 NAIA Cross Country Championships in Tallahassee, Fla. last November. The Cavs concluded 19
th on the women's side, while the men's program placed 21
st overall.
