DUBLIN— According to a release from the Athletic Association of Ireland (AAI) earlier this week, Montreat College student-athlete
Heather Murphy is headed to the European Athletics U23 Championships later this month.
Selected to represent her home country, Murphy will run for Ireland in the 10,000m event. During the 2025 outdoor track & field season, Murphy set Montreat's program record with a 33:45.36 10k time. It currently stands as the third-quickest women's 10,000m effort in NAIA history.
