GREENWOOD, Ind.— According to a release from the College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday, five Montreat College student-athletes earned their way onto the Academic All-District® Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Team.

Dylan Garcia,
Ali Ray and
Brooke Wiebe claimed the CSC's annual recognition. In total, 222 NAIA student-athletes garnered Academic All-District® Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Team status.
To qualify for nomination, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore both athletically and academically, have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA and have placed inside the top 25 of a conference event. Each track & field/cross country program received a maximum of five representatives for 2024-25.

All five Cavaliers were also picked as CSC Academic All-America® finalists. They will advance to the national ballot, which is to be voted on by CSC members. Academic All-America® winners will be announced on July 15.
The Montreat women's track & field/cross country program wrapped up its historic 2024-25 campaign with a program-best No. 4 ranking in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Association's (USTFCCCA) Fred Beile Program of the Year standings.
