WALESKA, Ga.— According to a pair of releases from the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) office early Friday afternoon, a multitude of Montreat men's and women's track & field student-athletes garnered AAC All-Academic Team and AAC Champions of Character Team recognition.
On the men's side, 13 Cavaliers appeared on the All-Academic Team:
Aubrey Adams,
Mark Blalock,
Drew Griswold,
Jackson Mace-Maynard,
Cameron Rice,
Philip Riddle,
Hunter Smathers,
Ryan Stade,
Ethan Stamey,
Nathan Stamey,
Ryan Thornburg,
Keebryn Williams and
Wyatt Wilson. Blalock was also selected for the Champions of Character Team.
Meanwhile, the Montreat women picked up 26 AAC All-Academic Team nods.

Corrie Williams met the requirements to claim the honor. Bobo represented the Cavs on the Champions of Character Team as well.
To qualify for the AAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must hold at least sophomore academic status and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher. Each institution in the league also received one spot on the AAC Champions of Character Team, and the honorees were chosen by each program's head coach.
