MONTREAT, N.C.— The Montreat College men's wrestling team finalized its 2025-26 regular season slate earlier this fall, one that features a mixture of 15 open tournaments and dual dates. With seven events prior to the Christmas season and eight dates in the new year, the Cavaliers look forward to a busy 2025-26.
 
Montreat's regular season officially gets under way on Saturday, Nov. 1 at the Pepsi Patriot Open in Corbin, Ky. The Cavs then briefly dip into dual action with a head-to-head showdown at Truett McConnell University exactly one week later before three additional open tournaments conclude the month of November.
 
A pair of dates in mid-December highlight the Cavaliers' schedule heading into Christmas Break. Montreat battles numerous programs on Dec. 13 at the Rocky Top Duals in Gatlinburg, Tenn. Six days later, the Cavs make a return trip to Corbin, this time for the Battle in the Bluegrass.
 
Ringing in the new year, Montreat spends Jan. 3-4 in Montgomery, Ala. at the Hawk Duals and Hawk Classic Open. Following that trip to Huntingdon College, the Cavaliers square off against a pair of Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) foes, Keiser University and Reinhardt University, on back-to-back Fridays. The dual versus KU is slated to be the Cavs' initial home event of the season.
 
After a trip to Missouri for the Missouri Valley Invite, the Cavaliers close out January by hosting the University of Pikeville on the 29^th.
 
February starts and ends with AAC ties. First, Montreat takes the country roads to West Virginia University Institute of Technology on Friday, Feb. 6. Two weeks later, the Cavs spend the 20^th and 21^st in Miami Gardens, Fla. as they compete at the AAC Men's Wrestling Championships.
 
With quality performances throughout the year and at the AAC Championships, the Cavaliers hope to book multiple tickets to the NAIA Men's Wrestling Championships in early March.
