MONTREAT, N.C. -- The Montreat College men's and women's soccer teams kickoff their respective Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament's this Saturday at Howard Fisher Memorial Field. (Game Program)

The defending AAC Tournament Champion Cavalier women's soccer team finished second in the 11 team circuit with an 8-2-0 mark in the AAC and a strong 11-6-0 overall record and will host the seventh seeded Bulldogs of Union (8-10-0, 5-5-0 AAC) at 12 p.m. EST.

The Cavalier men's team pulled off an improbable turnaround following a 2-5-1 AAC record to finish next-to-last a year ago and closed the season as one of three teams with a winning record in the 10 team men's circuit and finished third for the first time since 2008 with a 5-4-0 AAC record behind a 7-7-1 overall mark. The Cavs host the sixth seeded Cobras of Virginia Intermont (6-8-2, 3-4-2 AAC) at 2:30 p.m. EST.
