Montreat College

The Montreat College athletic department announced the hiring of Nathan Lozoya as its Assistant Director of Athletic Communications in December of 2025. Beginning his duties with the start of the new year, Lozoya enters his first semester with the Cavaliers in January of 2026.

PRIOR TO MONTREAT
 
Over the past two years, Lozoya worked as a Sports Information Assistant at his alma mater, Indiana University Kokomo, an NAIA institution in Kokomo, Ind. In that role, Lozoya assisted with statistics, game broadcasts, feature stories and recaps for the athletics website across all IUK sports, including volleyball, basketball, cross country, track & field, tennis, baseball and soccer. Additionally, Lozoya gained professional sports experience as an intern with the Kokomo Bobkats of The Basketball League (TBL), where he contributed to game production, ticketing and team operations.  
 
Lozoya earned his bachelor’s degree in Sport and Recreation Management, with minors in Business and Hospitality and Tourism, from Indiana University Kokomo in May 2024. He went on to complete his Master of Business Administration at IUK in May 2025. A native of Bluffton, Ind., Lozoya was a five-year student-athlete for the Cougars, competing in cross country and track & field. His athletic career included participation in the 2023 NAIA Marathon, and he served as team captain for both the track & field and cross country programs from 2023–25.
 
Lozoya currently resides in Black Mountain, N.C.
