Montreat College announced the hiring of Koby Reyes as the third head coach in the history of its women’s wrestling program in February of 2024. He enters his second season with the Cavaliers in 2025-26.

2024-25
- Went 7-6 (4-4 MSC) during the season.
- Picked up his first collegiate head coaching win versus (RV) Brewton-Parker (W 29-17 on 11/16).
- Beat St. Andrews in the first home dual in program history (W 35-15 on 2/6).
- Most dual wins in a single season in program history.
- Finished over .500 for the first time in program history.
- Went .500 against Mid-South Conference foes for the first time in program history.
- Finished a program-best seventh out of 12 teams at the MSC Women's Wrestling Championships (24.0 points).
- Coached Morgan Repasky (103 lb.) to an at-large berth to the NAIA Women's Wrestling Championships.
- Athlete achievements: 1 CSC Academic All-District® At-Large Team honoree, 4 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes, 5 MSC All-Academic Team members, 4 NWCA Scholar All-Americans.
PRIOR TO MONTREAT
Prior to Montreat, Reyes spent two seasons as an assistant coach for the men’s wrestling squad at Southeastern University. Through his time at SEU, the Fire amassed 23 national qualifiers, 12 All-Americans and a pair of national champions.
From 2021 into 2022, Reyes was an assistant with the Arizona Christian University Firestorm. The Billings, Mont. native saw five national qualifiers and an All-American go through the program while on the staff.
Before coaching, Reyes competed as an athlete at a trio of NCAA Division I institutions. He began his career at Arizona State, wrestled at Boise State in 2017 and finished his college career at Purdue from 2017 to 2019.
Reyes graduated from Purdue in 2019 with a degree in sociology. He currently lives in Montreat, N.C. with his wife, Anne Marie, and their two children
