Ashley Eze

Former graduate assistant, Ashley Eze, was named the interim cheer & dance coach for Montreat College’s programs heading into the 2023 competitive season. She was then promoted to head cheer & dance coach in March of 2024. The 2025-26 academic year marks her fourth with the Cavaliers.

2024-25 (Cheer)
  • Finished a program-best third place out of five teams in the Intermediate All Girl NAIA division at the NCA National Championships.
2024-25 (Dance)
  • Finished fifth out of five teams in the Jazz NAIA division at the NDA National Championships.
2023-24 (Cheer)
  • Finished fourth of teams in the All Girl NAIA division at the NCA National Championships.
  • Athlete achievements: 2 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
2023-24 (Dance)
  • Finished fifth out of five teams in the Jazz NAIA division at the NDA National Championships.
  • Athlete achievements: 1 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete.
2022-23 (Cheer)
  • Finished third out of three teams at the NAIA East Grouping Qualifier.
  • Athlete achievements: 2 All-Conference.
2022-23 (Dance)
  • Finished fourth out of five at the NAIA East Grouping Qualifier.
  • Athlete achievements: 1 CSC Academic All-District® At-Large Team honoree, 2 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

PRIOR TO MONTREAT

Eze spent the initial portion of the 2022-23 school year as a graduate assistant for both the cheer and dance programs at Montreat. Prior to joining the Cavalier family, the Coconut Creek, Fla. native was the competitive team coach for American Twisters Gymnastics for seven years as well as holding the same position with YMCA Gymnastics for a year.
 
Eze graduated from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, where she cheered as part of the competitive all-girl intermediate division I team for three years. She went on to receive her integrative studies degree from SIUE, while graduating cum laude in 2022.

Eze and her husband, Elochukwu, live in Fairview, N.C. with their one child.
