PRIOR TO MONTREAT

Britt was previously an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Emmanuel College, one of the nation’s leading NCAA Division II wrestling programs. During his time at Emmanuel, Britt worked with both the men’s and women’s wrestling teams.

In 2019, Britt helped lead the Lions’ women’s wrestling team to a third-place finish at the WCWA National Championship in Atlanta. The lineup was comprised of seven All-Americans, four national finalists and one national champion.

During the 2018-19 campaign, Britt also guided Kevin Almond to a 30-16 record, a Super Region II Runner-Up finish and Emmanuel College’s first All-American honor.

Prior to Emmanuel, Britt began his coaching career at Life University, his alma mater, as a student assistant under head coach Ami Ocosta. During his time at Life, the Running Eagles collected a third-place finish at nationals. Life University ended the 2017-18 season with an eighth-place team finish, including five national qualifiers, three All-Americans, two national finalists and a national champion.

Before his coaching career, Britt wrestled at Limestone College from 2012-2014 where he was an Academic All-American. He then transferred to Life University in 2014 and wrestled as a three-year starter, helping the Running Eagles take third and sixth-place finishes at the NWCA National Duals.

Before attending Limestone as a student, Britt was an assistant at Pope High School in Georgia.

Britt received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Life University in 2014.
