Andrew Cobb enters into his 3rd season as the Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach at Montreat College. Cobb spent two years as the Assistant Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach at his alma mater, Reinhardt University (RU), before coming to Montreat.

He has also seen players receive conference honors such as All-Freshman, All-Academic, and Champions of Character.

At Reinhardt, he helped coach the men’s team to a program high #15 national ranking, back-to-back winning seasons, and its first-ever AAC Conference championship. The Eagles would go on to advance to the Round of 16 at their debut at the NAIA National Tournament, upsetting then-ranked no.13 Westmont College, 5-4. He also helped coach the women’s program he helped to first-ever back-to-back winning seasons and to AAC Conference tournament finals in 2014 and 2015.

He earned both a B.S. in Business Administration (2013) and an M.B.A. (2015) through RU and is currently enrolled in Northcentral University for his Doctorate of Education with a specialization in Sport and Athletic Management. Cobb is also certified as a USPTA Elite Professional and has extensive experience as an academy coach.

"I'm thrilled to have Coach Cobb join our Montreat College athletic family," says Montreat College Athletic Director Jose Larios. "His role at Reinhardt University was paramount to their success in the past few years. We expect he will bring great energy and focus to our men's and women's tennis program. Andrew's recruiting drive and his clear understanding of our intentional Christ-centered mission was key to his candidacy."
