Doug Cline was promoted to head cycling coach at Montreat College in August of 2025 after being hired as the program's interim head coach in April of 2025. He enters his first season with the Cavaliers during the 2025-26 academic year.

Cline came to Montreat with a plethora of experience in the world of cycling. The Lynchburg, Va. native coached at the high school level across eight years in both California and South Carolina. Cline was also part of the core staff at the Georgia Cycling Association for four years. An active competitor as well, Cline has spent the past 20 years racing and participating in cycling events.

A graduate of Liberty University, Cline lives in Black Mountain, N.C. with his wife and their golden retriever. Together, the couple has three daughters.
