As the Montreat cheer and dance teams enter their first season of official competition, Emily Robinson serves as the program’s initial graduate assistant as announced by the school in early January of 2022.

Robinson joined the Cavalier staff following a year at Brevard College where she was the assistant cheer coach. Over the three years prior, Robinson also assisted the Rosman Middle School program in her hometown of Rosman, N.C. During the 2019-20 school year, she acted as the head coach for the Cindy Platt Boys & Girls Club Cheer team. Robinson began her coaching career as an assistant with Rosman Youth, coaching with the team from 2016 to 2019.

Prior to her coaching experience, Robinson attended Brevard College, where she cheered from 2015 through 2019. She earned her degrees in psychology and criminal justice from the school in 2019.
