BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C.— The Montreat College men's and women's cross country teams unveiled their schedules for this upcoming fall earlier this summer. With identical campaigns lined up for their 2025 seasons, the Cavaliers are gearing up for an anticipated six-meet slate.
 
The Cavs' initial two meets take place at NCAA Division I institutions in the state of North Carolina. On Aug. 29, Montreat visits Elon University for the Elon Opener. Two weeks later, the Cavaliers head to Queens University of Charlotte for the Queen City Invite. Both meets are scheduled to be held on Friday evenings.
 
Montreat leaves North Carolina twice in the month of October. Traveling to Louisville, Ky. on Oct. 4, the Cavs run at the Live in Lou Classic, one of the largest collegiate cross country meets in the nation. Following their lone Saturday meet of the season, the Cavaliers swing through Knoxville, Tenn. on Oct. 24 for the NAIA Appalachian Challenge.
 
A pair of potential postseason competitions fills the November portion of the cross country teams' schedules. The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Cross Country Championships are lined up for Nov. 7 at Sequoyah Park in Knoxville. With a superb showing during the conference meet, the Cavs hope to clinch a pair of automatic berths or place themselves in prime position for at-large berths to the NAIA Cross Country Championships. This year's national meet is slated for Nov. 21 in Tallahassee, Fla.
