NEW ORLEANS— Following a runner-up showing at the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships, the Montreat men's track & field team returned to the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA) NAIA Men's Indoor Track & Field Rating Index as announced by the organization Wednesday afternoon.
With 48.06 points in the rating index, the Cavaliers moved up 20 positions to No. 21. Montreat, who captured six individual conference championships and 14 all-conference results at the AAC Indoor Championships last week, positioned itself nearly two points ahead of Cornerstone (Mich.) and six behind Life (Ga.) in this week's release.

Select athletes from the men's track & field team now head to the NAIA Men's Indoor Track & Field National Championship, which is slated for Feb. 29 through March 2 at the Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex in Brookings, S.D.
