Laurinburg, NC - The Montreat College women's soccer team saw their 2015 season come to a close as the Cavaliers fell in overtime to St. Andrews 2-1 in opening round action of the Appalachian Athletic Conference postseason tournament.
It was the Cavaliers who got on the board first, as Leah Morris (SR/Old Fort, NC) scored in the 7th minute. The Knights would score an equalizer in the 13th minute, in what wold be the final score of regulation.
St. Andrews applied pressure early in the overtime period and ended the match with a goal in the third minute of action.
Playing in her final match for the Cavaliers, Melina Wilkinson (SR/Johannesburg, South Africa) was a strong presence in goal, coming up with 11 saves against a Knights attack that outshot the Cavaliers 31-8.
Asheville, NC - The seedings and pairings for the 2015 Appalachain Athletic Conference women's soccer tournament were announced on Sunday. Montreat College will enter the tournament as the #11 seed and will travel to take on #6 seed St. Andrews on Tuesday, November 3 Match time has not yet been set.

West Point, GA - The Montreat College women's soccer team wrapped up their regular season on Wednesday afternoon, taking on Point University in Appalachian Athletic Conference action. The Skyhawks used a trio of first-half goals to propel them to a 3-0 victory over the Cavaliers.
Melina Wilkinson (SR/Johannesburg, South Africa) and Jordan DeVann combined for 15 saves for Montreat who will now await their pairing for the upcoming AAC Tournament.
