Montreat College head golf coach John Sullivan has announced the signing of Emma Roberts to a letter of intent to compete on the women's golf team in 2016-2017.
Emma is a native of Burlington, NC and competed at Western Alamance High School. She was an All-Conference performer in 2016 and finished 5th in the 2016 Mideast Region Championships. Emma also excelled in the classroom, graduating with a 4.0 GPA while being inducted into the National Honor Society.
Quote from Emma – "My high school coach mentioned Montreat to me during my senior year. As soon as I looked into the school I loved it and to find out I could major in Outdoor Ministry made it even better. As soon as I visited the campus it felt like home. I am so excited for the opportunity to play the sport I love at the school of my dreams, as God leads me on to the next adventure in the plan He has for me".
"We are extremely excited to welcome Emma to the Cavalier family," said Coach Sullivan. "Her heart for the Lord and her desire to pursue a career in ministry make her a perfect fit as we continue to cultivate a Christ-centered team culture. She has already had an opportunity to spend some time with the other girls and has very quickly begun to fit in. We are excited to see her make an immediate impact not only from the golf side, but from a team perspective as well."
The daughter of Chad and Danielle Roberts, Emma plans to major in Youth & Family Ministry.

"We are excited to welcome Adison to the Montreat family," said Sullivan. "She will be a great addition to our women's team as we continue to lay a foundation for this program. I'm looking forward to working with her and watching her develop both as a golfer and in the classroom."
